AWARE School Climate Survey is coming to TVM

As part of Battle Ground Public Schools’ commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment, the district is asking students and staff to participate in an annual School Climate Survey. The survey is funded through the Project AWARE federal grant received in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to develop a comprehensive, coordinated, and integrated program for advancing wellness and resilience in educational settings for school-aged youth. This flyer provides more information about Project AWARE and the School Climate Survey.

We are asking all students in grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 to participate in the 15-minute, online climate survey that asks questions about student safety, bullying and student engagement. The survey is anonymous and no personal student information is collected. This survey will take place in schools during the weeks of March 4-8.

Student voice is extremely important in this process, and we look forward to a high participation rate throughout the district. The survey is available at school and district offices for review. If you would like to excuse your child from participation in the survey, please complete the online excuse form by March 1 or call your school’s office.

More information is available on the district website’s Project AWARE page.
