Enrollment
Welcome to Battle Ground Public Schools! We are excited to serve your child and family.

Early learning / preschool
See all early learning options in the district, from preschool to kindergarten.
Kindergarten
For kindergarten enrollment, follow the instructions below. For general kindergarten information, visit the kindergarten webpage.
To enroll in kindergarten, your child must be 5 years of age before Aug. 31.
Current students
Students already going to school in the district DO NOT have to re-enroll (e.g., eighth graders will automatically be enrolled by the district in their home high school).
Transitional Kindergarten student or preschooler: If your child is already a Transitional Kindergarten student or preschooler in the district and you already have a Skyward account, you do not need to complete an application for your child to attend kindergarten. Instead please contact the school that your child will attend.
New students
Please gather the required documentation (see "What do I need to complete the process?") before you begin.
How to get started
If you currently have another child attending schools in Battle Ground, log in through Family Access and skip to "Begin the Registration Process."
If you had a child previously enrolled in Battle Ground, please try logging into Family Access first before creating a new account. You may need to use the “Forgot your username or password?” to retrieve your account information. If you are not successful logging in this way, please proceed with the instructions below as if you are new to our district.
If your child is new to Battle Ground, please complete the new student enrollment.
Tips for completing form:
Complete all fields.
The telephone number should be entered with numbers only, no dashes
If you are returning to the district, please check the “Previously In District” option before submitting.
Note: A Social Security number is not required for enrollment.
Which school will my child attend?
Students who are new to Battle Ground Public Schools, including incoming kindergarten students, must register at the school that serves their residence. Find out which school your child will attend by visiting our boundary page or look up your address in the Clark County Property Information Center to determine your assigned school. You may also contact the Battle Ground Public Schools Transportation/Boundary Office at 360-885-6573 or email the boundaries department.
If you would like your child to attend a school other than the one that serves their residence:
If you live within the district: Request an in-district boundary exception form from the school that serves your residence and return it to that school. When school buildings are closed, you can download a fillable form and return it via email to the boundaries department.
If you live outside of the district: If you live outside of the district but want your child to attend a Battle Ground school, please contact the school district that serves your address.
Alternative learning schools have separate registration process. Please contact the school that you are interested in to learn more.
What do I need to complete the process?
During the enrollment process, you must upload the required documentation. Students cannot enroll without the required documentation. Required documents include:
Verification/proof of address: Examples include a current purchase/lease agreement or residential service utility bill (electric, gas, water, sewage, garbage, landline phone) showing parent/guardian's name and the service address. Please note: We cannot accept bills for a cellphone or internet as this is not something that can definitely be associated with a service address.
Verification of child’s birthdate: Examples include a birth certificate, passport, Dept. of Social and Health Services documentation showing the child’s name and birthday, or an official medical record showing your child’s birth date and full legal name (copies are OK).
Child’s unofficial transcripts from all previous schools (entering grades 9-12 only).
Completed and signed Washington state certificate of immunization status or certificate of exemption that is current with the state requirements. Read more about immunization requirements. All immunization records must be medically verified.
Legal documents: Only needed if there are any legal requirements regarding your child(ren) that the district or school should know (for example, a parenting plan, legal custody or a restraining order).
It is highly recommended that you include all documentation in the online registration to avoid enrollment delays. If you are missing any of these documents, you will be asked to provide them to your school registrar to complete your child's enrollment.
